OSMD mission – Medical Staffing Solutions

Open Source M.D. was founded by two physicians who recognized a need. Working with hospitals, physicians, and administrators for many years grants you a unique perspective into the challenges hospitals face.

One of the first things we noticed is how inefficient staff management is at most hospitals. This is no fault of the fine chiefs of staff and others who do their very best every day to ensure adequate coverage in the hospitalist service and nursing.

It’s the hospital staffing system that’s broken. The best hospital chief of staff with the very best help available can only do so much with an inherently flawed system. So we set out to build a better hospital staffing solution. We call it Open Source M.D.

Open Source M.D delivers physician staffing solutions that give hospitals the flexibility they want without sacrificing the cost-effective stability and quality they need.

PEOPLE ON A MISSION TO IMPROVE HOSPITAL STAFFING

The primary objective of Open Source M.D. is promoting a liberated marketplace wherein hospitals and physicians can collaborate directly. Our model frees hospitals from the exorbitant expenses and intrusive influence of third-party entities.

By fostering this independent partnership, Open Source M.D. helps to facilitate truly exceptional healthcare services. By design, our system serves to diminish care fragmentation, boost hospital revenues, curtail operational costs, and enhance physician contentment.

Perhaps most notably, Open Source M.D. empowers physicians to earn more without imposing financial burdens on the hospitals. Our system enables physicians to engage in strategic financial planning, equipping them to achieve a prosperous financial future. Learn more about our medical staffing solutions below.

Master Your Hospital Staffing Challenges

At Open Source MD, we believe there is a better way to keep hospitals properly staffed, without playing ‘musical chairs’ with your hospitalist service. Our innovative hospital staffing system leads to better care, higher patient satisfaction, and happier physicians who feel empowered and appreciated.

Open Source M.D. was founded by physicians who recognized a critical need for a more efficient and performative hospital staffing solution. Our primary objective is to ensure you have experienced physicians on staff who know your hospital and feel like a part of it. From there, you will derive a world of benefits from higher quality of care to better communication between the hospital and its specialists and hospitalists.

The Open Source MD model connects physicians to hospitals so they can build lasting relationships as partners. Unlike commercial hospital staffing agencies, we facilitate doctor-hospital relationships rather than acting as an obstacle to them.

Open Source MD’s revolutionary hospital staffing model:

  • Ensures full hospitalist coverage for a higher standard of patient care.
  • Improves communication between hospitalists, administrators, and specialists.
  • Reduces handoffs, so patients and specialists alike have a better experience.
  • Reduces physician turnover, resulting in hospitalists who feel like part of the team.
